Facing and Overcoming Depression the Natural Way

The dark side is the side that most everyone goes to any lengths to avoid. Successful recovery from any addiction requires a willingness to face those dark feelings and descend down into the depths of ones self. This often may feel like "the dark night of the soul" or may feel like depression and it is the very experience most people will go to any lengths to avoid feeling. I consider this to be a very sacred time for anyone going through it yet for someone newly in recovery who has never understood it as being a very powerful time or has never been properly supported through it, they may feel unable to "weather the storm".
When facing all aspects of her life in recovery, these journeys down in are inevitable and the timing in which they occur is unpredictable. Where the source of these feelings are often times related to past or present events, childhood traumas, etc... there are also some other physiological reasons that play a huge role in these feelings of depression and darkness.
Research has proven that people with addictions are extremely sugar sensitive and have lower levels of Beta-endorphin and Serotonin and suffer from adrenal fatigue. Many recovery programs are not educated on this therefore are not addressing ways to naturally balance  these physiological issues through specific nutrition, lifestyle, exercise, proper supplements and ways to naturally build up the amino acids in the body.
At Radiant Light Recovery I address all of these issues and provide a very thorough program so that my clients become educated and self empowered on how to apply the information and live it in a supportive environment. By the time they are ready to go out on their own they will be able to continue this new way of life and are set up for successful recovery with less chance of relapse.
As for the emotional factors that play a part in her depression, I am there to hold the space for each woman and provide profound love and support so that as she confronts those deepest stories of herself and her life (that for so many years she has judged and buried under her addictions), she may finally allow them to have a voice, free herself from her judgement of them and open up to some new fresh and loving perspectives.
When a person in recovery is willing to open up to this level of rigorous honesty, they will finally have the profound experience of unconditional love for themself and an overall sense of personal renewal.
And finally, I say to all of you who want recovery and who are stepping into recovery:
These emotional and physiological aspects of recovery are necessary in order for you to free yourself from depression and from your addictions and here is the really really cool part...you will begin to feel the "real" magic of life within you and all around you! When you begin to feel more and more of this "real" magic, it will become clear to you that this is what you have been trying desperately to feel through all of your addictions yet now you will understand that no amount of alcohol, drugs or food could ever compare to its incredible lasting effects.
At Radiant Light Recovery I celebrate you and reflect to you all of the reasons that you are to be celebrated so that you suddenly understand and discover the magnificent person you really are!
Are you ready to feel the magic of you and the magic of life? You don't have to do this alone...just reach out and surrender.

Daily Phone Support with Kelly Jean

The daily phone support plan is wonderful for my clients who go through the 30 day full time live-in plan and want continued support after stepping back into the day to day challenges in their everyday lives. It is also great for people who live long distance or are unable to afford the full time structured live-in plan at Radiant Light Recovery
The daily phone support system has proven to be another very powerful way for me to speed up women's progress in their recovery. Often times, women leave rehabilitation or recovery home programs without daily support and end up having to step back into all of the old dynamics that before, had so easily triggered their addictions. Just a few examples of the many day to day practical issues that I help women with would be their daily nutrition, exercise regiment and matters having to do with jobs and careers.
Some of the more common issues that are so difficult to deal with in general and especially for people who are newly in recovery are relationship dynamics with family, friends and romantic partners. Relationships of all types are so powerful and may trigger many core emotions, such as, anger, rage, jealousy, insecurity, sadness and grief etc... I work with women on first identifying the emotions then helping them to be present with their emotions in a nonjudgmental and loving way. I share with them new and powerful ways of communicating, setting boundaries and standing up for themselves. I empower women and help them to become clear in identifying those relationships in their life that are toxic so that they may choose to let them go and make room for healthy, loving friends and partners. Relationships can feel very complicated when dealing with them on your own. I show women in recovery new healthy and loving ways to nurture themselves so that they may feel more calm and hopeful in the midst of challenging times.

"The phone consultations have been a positive and most helpful tool in my recovery. I am not able to leave my home and live at Radiant Light Recovery because I live in another city, however, I am able to receive the same tools and support in my own home! Through Radiant Light Recovery's daily phone program, Kelly Jean helps me overcome daily obstacles and gives me the support and the positive encouragement to deal with life. I am experiencing so much healing emotionally, spiritually and physically and have been able to make peace with many of my inner demons that have caused me to binge eat. Kelly Jean's love and light has given me so much hope and inspiration and I am ready to put an end to my eating disorder.
Kelly Jean helps me realize the source and the root of why I binge and has helped me look at the journey of recovery as being a gift and the path to the healthy and powerful woman I truly am".  R.C., Los Angeles
